Ever since i was a kid my parents have always told me and tried to make me take to heart that you should always tell the truth. Even if it hurts. It shows that you are honest and honesty can lead to a good foundation of trust between two people. When my parents first told me this I had no idea what they were talking about, so i just pretended to listen and nod my head. My parent always told me truth not at the exact moment but only when i would truly understand what it meant and how it affected me. Being a little kid, most of the things that we are told don't really make sense at all; so, what would be the point of telling it to someone if it falls on deaf ears. If truth is fruit that should be plucked when it is ripe then we should choose when someone can handle the truth and understand it's value only then will it have meaning. If the person is not ripe, ready to hear the truth, then it just becomes words and no trust is made and the friendship will crumble.

All my life i have met people from all walks of life. Some have been from another country, a different religion, belief, values, views and characteristics. I slowly came to learn that the ones that you truly need to be around you, that want you in their lives, are the ones that are willing to tell you truth. I have made friends that were all talk and just pretending to be someone they weren't. since they pretended to be someone else, i heard a lot of lies and deceit or caught up in trouble with them. So i learned to only search for those who truly are themselves and believe in the truth because if you can't be your true self then how can you love yourself? and if you can't love yourself then how can you love someone else? We all need to be who we really are and have confidence in ourself and love ourselves; otherwise, i feel that the world will turn into a place with out love which is what we all search for.
